People Fighting For The Rights To Be Who They Are!

JUST BEFORE GOING TO PRINT….

I recently was on my way to Atlanta Falcons football party at a friends house. While in route, I stopped by  a local grocery store to pick up some snacks.

While at the check-out stand the cashier gave me uncomfortable look as she informed me that my purchase total was $6.66. She stared at me and  could tell this figure made me very uncomfortable. While she waited on me I was quickly trying to think if I should buy something else to purchase I eventually got a grip of myself and paid for my items.

You would think after 15 years of self-disciplined relentless studies oo homosexuality in the bible, something as simple as the numbers "666" would not make me uneasy. This transaction with all my knowledge "triggered" a very negative emotion rooted in the fear teachings since childhood. On my way to my friends house I kept thinking of all kind of bad things that could happen (i.e.car accident, rob on the way to the card) just craziness. This was a excellent reminder for me of how one incident can "trigger" those old tapes of hell and damnation in the most knowledgeable people. Imagine how believers feel who do not have any sense of enlightenment or empowerment on this subject.

It also reminded me of how my readers of  this book  may experience some of the same feelings while reading this book because we are questioning the "Word of God".
